Caritas of
Austin
Caritas of Austin
assists with basic needs in times of crisis. Programs
include hot lunches to more than 450 people each
weekday, a food pantry, refugee resettlement,
community support, employment, budgeting, case
management, and educational programs.
Casa
Marianella
Casa
Marianella provides emergency shelter and support
services to single, adult immigrants and refugees
that arrive primarily from Latin America.
Posada Esperanza provides shelter
services to immigrant and refugee families for an
average of three to six months. Staff works closely
with residents of both programs to explore viable
housing opportunities and address various needs.

Eldercare
Family Eldercare
provides essential
services for elders,
adults with
disabilities and
those who care for
them. Elders and
adults with
disabilities live in
a supportive
environment with
dignity and as much
independence as
possible. Staff
works closely with
clients to assist in
obtaining essential
services and
developing
individual plans for
support.
Foundation for
the Homeless
For over 20 years, Foundation for the Homeless, Inc.
has worked to organize resources from the faith
communities to alleviate the suffering of homeless
people in Austin, TX. FFH assists people in their
work toward self-sufficient lifestyle. FFH carries
out its work by building relationships between
thousands of volunteers from local faith
communities and homeless families with children.
Front Steps
(lead agency)
Front Steps, the lead agency in the Keep Austin
Housed Project, offers emergency shelter and
permanent-housing programs, skills development,
employment resources and other practical programs to
low-income workers, disabled and homeless
individuals and their families.
LifeWorks
LifeWorks assists youth and families to transition
from crisis to safety and success by providing the
most comprehensive network of services for youth and
families in Austin. LifeWorks has transitional
living services, supportive housing, emergency
shelter, employment services/classes, and street outreach
programs in which AmeriCorps members are actively
working.
St.
David’s Trinity Center
Trinity Center provides spiritual, emotional and
physical support for a diverse population of poor
and homeless people living in the heart of downtown
Austin. Programs include meals, a food pantry,
ongoing case management, women's services, and holiday giving programs.
SafePlace
SafePlace creates a safe place for women, children
and men who have been victimized by rape, sexual
abuse and domestic violence. SafePlace offers a
comprehensive and compassionate continuum of
services, providing support and resources for
survivors to create independent lives, free of
violence, for themselves and their families.
